During June of 2008, I will be volunteering abroad at an orphanage in Kenya through Good Shepherd Church in Naperville, IL. As a college student, money is definitely scarce and hearing this once in a lifetime opportunity would cost me over $4000.00 is a bit intimidating. I need to depend on the support of my family, friends, and community to help me fund my trip. A chance to see what poverty really is and to make a difference to a country that truly needs it is something I have imagined doing since I was young. This summer is the only time I know I have the opportunity and time to fulfill my goal, and I would love for you to help me reach it.
